Pulenuu Toomalatai-Maalona Family

Pulenuu Toomalatai-Maalona

Pulenuu Toomalatai-Maalona is the youngest daughter of Toomalatai Leatuvai of Onenoa and Taeauga Leota of Pago Pago.  Her sisters are Tumatalili Toomalatai, Ameteolepala Toomalatai-Saipaia and Patu Toomalatai-Taupule; their brother is Alosina Toomalatai, who later was bestowed the Toomalatai title.

Little is known about great aunt Pulenuu.  She married Maalona Tuaolo and had several children.  Many thanks to her granddaughter Grace Maalona-Uiagalelei, a picture of great aunt Pulenuu's children was sent for the blog.

Pulenuu Toomalatai and Maalona Tuaolo

Our mother Fuasami often spoke of her aunt Pulenuu.  Our grandmother Ameteolepala Toomalatai-Saipaia when visiting our family in Tula also spoke of her sister Pulenuu.  Pulenuu had married her friend and companion Maalona Tuaolo of Pago Pago.  She spent most of her married life in Fagatogo.  I hope when some of her children or grandchildren come across this blog they will send me more information.

There is so much to be revealed about this part of the family.  If you are a direct descendant of Pulenuu Toomalatai and Maalona Tuaolo, please forward pictures and information to sauvaa08@hotmail.com, to be added to this family page.
